At Community of Hearts Yoga, we offer a variety of yoga classes to suit the needs of all ages and experience. In all classes, students are encouraged to practice at their own pace and experience the joy of yoga.
Yoga 1/Intro
Desciption:
This class is suitable for beginning yoga students. Learn the basic postures of yoga, simple breathing exercises and meditation. The key principles will be emphasized in each pose to enhance one’s flexibility, strength, stamina, balance and overall well being. see schedule dates and time
Yoga 1-2
Desciption:
This class is suitable for students who have completed Yoga 1 or new students with some previous yoga experience. All the basic postures and components of Yoga 1 as well as a few more progressively challenging poses to deepen one’s experience of yoga. see schedule dates and time
Yoga 2
Desciption:
This class is suitable for intermediate level students ready to bring in more progressively challenging poses, including poses to strengthen and prepare the body for inversions. A good understanding of alignment principles recommended as well as a minimum of 6 months practice of yoga. see schedule dates and time
Yoga 2-3
Desciption:
A more advanced yoga class designed for students ready to do inversions, deeper backbends and more arm balances. Students must have good working knowledge of alignment principles in poses. Ideal for students wishing to broaden their syllabus of poses and to challenge themselves. see schedule dates and time
Yoga Flow
Desciption:
A series of postures linked together in a continuous flow using the breath as one’s primary focus. A good understanding of alignment required. Students should be at a Yoga 2 level or greater. see schedule dates and time
Kida Yoga (ages 4-8)
Desciption:
Let your child's imagination and spirit soar! This class playfully introduces children to the practice of yoga through creative movement, songs, dance, games, storytelling and more. Creative self-expression and cooperative play will help your child become more aware of their body, mind and breath, and will help build their self-esteem. see schedule dates and time
Kida Yoga (ages 9-12)
Desciption:
Hey kids, let's set sail on a journey of self-discovery! This class presents traditional yoga techniques in fun and simple ways through storytelling, drama, meditation, asana and games. Children will gain a deeper awareness of body and mind, and will cultivate greater coordination, confidence and well-being. see schedule dates and time
Restorative Yoga
Desciption:
Using props and extended holds, the student is guided through various healing postures and breathing practices designed to provide deep relaxation, passive and quiet meditation. Restorative classes will be offered once in each session.

Whether you're new to yoga or experienced, personalized instruction provides the benefits of a tailor made practice to attend to your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
